Suja Uddin Gets Responsibility for NCP Activities Across Hills, Coast and Plains

Researcher and political analyst A.S.M. Suja Uddin has been appointed organising secretary for the Chattogram division in the newly announced central committee of the National Citizen Party (NCP).

Previously serving in the same role, he played a part in forming convening and executive committees in 10 key organisational districts across the greater Noakhali and Chattogram regions. He also worked to expand the party’s organisational activities by arranging political programmes in the three hill districts and Cox’s Bazar. He has experience contesting an election in the Bandarban parliamentary constituency.

Reacting to his new appointment, Suja Uddin said Chattogram and the hill regions are strategically important and diverse. He said success in these areas requires people-oriented politics and inclusive public policies. Rather than imposing decisions on people in the hills or plains, all ethnic communities must be included in the political process.

Political analysts believe his new responsibility could play an important role in expanding the NCP’s organisational activities across Chattogram division, the three hill districts and coastal areas.
