Development Plans for Every Sector to Build a Prosperous Fatikchhari: MP Sarwar Alamgir

Sarwar Alamgir, Member of Parliament for Fatikchhari and a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working tirelessly to build a prosperous Bangladesh.

However, he alleged that Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Chhatra Shibir and the National Citizen Party (NCP) are attempting to create disorder in the country and are involved in various conspiracies. He further alleged that they are working against the current government in collusion with the authoritarian Awami League. He called on the people to remain alert and vigilant against such activities.

He also said that plans were being implemented to ensure development in every sector of Fatikchhari, including education, healthcare, communications and electricity.

“Insha’Allah, with everyone’s cooperation, we will build a prosperous Fatikchhari,” he said.

The MP made these remarks as the chief guest at separate monthly meetings of the Fatikchhari and North Fatikchhari Upazila Parishads on Thursday afternoon, October 29.

The meetings were chaired by Said Md. Ibrahim, administrator of the Fatikchhari and North Fatikchhari Upazila Parishads. Among those who spoke were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rahmat Ullah, Upazila Engineer Junaed Absar and officials from various government departments at the upazila level.

At the Fatikchhari Upazila Parishad meeting, speakers included Mobarak Hossain Kanchan, Zahir Azam Chowdhury, Nazim Uddin Shaheen, Lelang Union Parishad Chairman Sarwar Uddin Chowdhury Shaheen, Baktapur Union Parishad Chairman Farukul Azam, Rosangiri Union Parishad Chairman Shoaib Al Saleheen, Khiram Union Parishad Chairman Sourav Hossain, Nanuপুর Union Parishad panel chairman Touhidul Alam and Samitirhat Union Parishad panel chairman Nurul Alam, among others.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Hossain Talukder, a veteran BNP leader, Harualchhari Union Parishad Chairman Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, Bhujpur Union Parishad Chairman Shahjahan Chowdhury Shifon and Abul Khayer also spoke at the North Fatikchhari Upazila Parishad meeting.

The meetings discussed overall development in the upazilas, the activities of various government departments and initiatives to improve public services.
