Jubo League Leader Arrested Under Anti-Terrorism Act in Boalkhali

Police have arrested Jubo League leader Zahidul Islam Parvez, 35, in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act in Boalkhali, Chattogram. He was arrested from his locality late Thursday night.
Parvez is the joint convener of the Jubo League’s Sreepur-Kharandwip union unit. He is the son of Zafar Ahmed and a resident of Ward No. 5 in the Sreepur area of the union.
Mohammad Nurul Alam, investigation officer at Boalkhali Police Station, said Parvez was arrested in the case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act. He is also named in another case filed earlier.
He added that Parvez was produced before a court on Friday.
